I noticed that nobody's mentioned integrating Phorum with Joomla or Mambo for a long time on this message board, but I've seen a few websites out there that do it successfully (opensourcecms.com for instance). Is there a tutorial somewhere on the best way to do this, or has anyone here done it successfully? The forum options are surprisingly limited for joomla right now which is a shame because it's one of the better CMS options. I think Phorum is great and would rather not get stuck having to use SMF.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I think they are using Maurice's embedding module
[www.phorum.org]
I'm sure posting to that thread will at least give some hints how to make your own connector class for Mambo, or even example code who knows?

There is a connector for Mambo in the module. In fact, that is exactly what opensourcecms.com is using. See also the thread mentioned above and [forum.joomla.org]
