Re: Module: Recent Messages - 15 years ago
Your main script is using phorum_api_newflags_format_messages($messages, $mode); Under this function I have found: // Do not handle newflags for moved message notifications. if ($message['move']) continue; Shouldn't it be "moved" instead of "move"? Also, this module only works for me if I take out //$PHORUM['forum_id'] = 0; at the bby korsakov - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons
Loading Image - 15 years ago
Just a thought: A loading image during searches might be a better choice for letting users know that the system is busy.by korsakov - Phorum Support
Re: Module: Google Maps - 15 years ago
I was under the impression that it had worked before since I had this code in there for a while. Otherwise I certainly would have tested it without the hack. I might send a "notice" but never a "complaint" since I appreciate all your work!by korsakov - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons
Re: Module: Google Maps - 15 years ago
Module works fine. PS: I found the problem. With IE you cannot dump content into a table using "innerHtml" as I tried within plotter.php. Only Div's work. Sorry about the confusion!by korsakov - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons
Re: Module: Google Maps - 15 years ago
It supposed to serve as a hint in order to better locate the possible issue. When I take out these lines, the error message in IE8 disappears.by korsakov - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons
Re: Module: Google Maps - 15 years ago
This apparently is the problem zone within api.php for IE8: // Grab the map code. ob_start(); include dirname(__FILE__) . "/maptool/{$maptool_type}.php"; $maptool = ob_get_contents(); ob_end_clean(); Any ideas?by korsakov - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons
Re: Memory Space Calculation? - 15 years ago
Thanks for your suggestion, Maurice!by korsakov - Phorum Support
Re: Memory Space Calculation? - 15 years ago
Could an option be considered in the future to remove these while purging stale files in Admin? I could solve my task with 10 lines of code. Really, Phorum rocks!by korsakov - Phorum Support
Re: Memory Space Calculation? - 15 years ago
Thanks, Thomas. I already found a solution regarding the required storage space for files. I can work with "phorum_db_get_user_filesize_total". I am only wondering what will happen to the files of users who might get removed in the future. Will their files removed, as well, or will they remain in the database?by korsakov - Phorum Support
Re: Memory Space Calculation? - 15 years ago
Memory space or the amount of storage needed to host content under a folder. How would you do it? Thank you.by korsakov - Phorum Support
Memory Space Calculation? - 15 years ago
I am wondering whether anybody has an idea how to calculate the used memory space for posts and attachments under a folder.by korsakov - Phorum Support
Re: Module: Google Maps - 15 years ago
Thanks,I just found the link to the Usermap. Yes, it works. Mh, wonder why it breaks for me.by korsakov - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons
Re: Module: Google Maps - 15 years ago
Sorry, the usermap still won't work with IE8. Only the world map shows up. Webpage error details for module=google_maps,addon=usermap User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0) Message: Unknown runtime error Line: 394 Char: 197 Code: 0by korsakov - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons
Re: Module: Google Maps - 15 years ago
Could you please let me know which files of the module you have modified? Thank you!by korsakov - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons
Re: Phorum the Future, revisited! - 15 years ago
I read this article about SMS today and I was wondering whether the Phorum development team ever thought about tuning Phorum to become SMS-ready!? I believe the possibilities could be phenomenal..by korsakov - Phorum Development
Re: Module: Enhanced Custom Profiles - 15 years ago
As long as you place this script under /mods you can name it as you wish. The "title" for the module will be displayed on the "Modules" page of the admin interface.by korsakov - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons
Re: Module: Enhanced Custom Profiles - 15 years ago
Hi, This is untested but it might help you reaching your goal: Put this into register.tpl: <label for="real_name">{LANG->RealName} *</label><input type="text" name="real_name" id="real_name" size="15" /> You add this as a single file under /mods: <?php /* phorum module info title: user_management | Rby korsakov - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons
Re: Custom Variables in Admin Panel - 15 years ago
Oh, what a pleasant surprise to see these new hooks! Thanks for your reminder! Anyway, it would be very handy if it was possible in the future to change custom variables conveniently on the user page within the Admin panel. Wishful thinking?by korsakov - Phorum Support
Custom Variables in Admin Panel - 15 years ago
Is there any hook available I could use to assign values to custom variables when I create a new user within the Admin panel? Also, it'd be great if the values of custom variables cannot only be displayed but also changed within a user profile.by korsakov - Phorum Support
Re: Module: External Phorummail - 15 years ago
I have not looked for a solution for my forums since it is already in place. I made this remark since I noticed that there might be also other people who would benefit from this option on this Phorum. No bugging, no weirdness, just a friendly suggestion. And with regards to the rest I guess I will take the high road with my weird but practical segway.by korsakov - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons
Re: Module: External Phorummail - 15 years ago
Thanks, Robert! I know it. It's not installed on this Phorum. I could have used it occasionally, for example when you send a help request and you find the bug minutes later.by korsakov - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons
Re: Module: External Phorummail - 15 years ago
I was under the impression that Robert wanted to withdraw his message after the first edit. I admit, I could also have opened a new thread. The idea is to give a user the chance to remove a mis-posted message (no replies) by editing and removing its content.by korsakov - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons
Re: Module: External Phorummail - 15 years ago
Thanks, Robert, you reminded me of a wish I'd have for the leadership. It'd be great if edited and empty messages could be automatically removed from the database.by korsakov - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons
Re: Forum and Blog? - 15 years ago
Thanks, Maurice. Already checked out Wordcraft and implemented it in an application. I just like to have everything under one hood. If I should have time in the near future I will "play" with it.by korsakov - v5/v6 Templates
Re: Forum and Blog? - 15 years ago
I used the search button, you had the better search term! Thanks. - I think it'be fun if a user could set up a blog by her/himself (At least it was mentioned in my conversations with people.) Which typical "Blog" features did you have in mind which would be difficult to implement in a simple Phorum Blog application?by korsakov - v5/v6 Templates
Re: Forum and Blog? - 15 years ago
I am curious. Do you recall the reasons why it was dropped? Could you please direct me to this specific blog template? Thank you!by korsakov - v5/v6 Templates
Re: FB Post-To-Wall? - 15 years ago
Thanks, Phil! I wanted to store it in my database though.by korsakov - Phorum Support
Re: FB Post-To-Wall? - 15 years ago
I thought about a Facebook-like "Wall" feature allowing people to leave messages/comments on the index page without choosing a specific forum. ("What's on your mind?") Thanks for your input!by korsakov - Phorum Support
FB Post-To-Wall? - 15 years ago
Has anybody tried to implement a Post-To-Wall feature?by korsakov - Phorum Support
Re: Suggestion for notifications - 15 years ago
Particularly for older people this information might be distracting and confusing. Wouldn't it be more useful to see the subject line? Could I humbly sneak it in your to-do pile? (If not, where would you start implementing it? Thank you! We are not the first doing it.. )by korsakov - Phorum Support
