It is unfortunate that Phorum is not able to come up with a better idea to monetize and to move forward like several other forum competitors. (The trend goes to smaller social networks!) Your response and the GitHub activity indicate to me that I expect Phorum to only get maintained in the future. Of course, I regret that Phorum 5.3 probably won't ever be released. Thanks anyway!

I am talking about this site and the mobile edition. It would be a good idea to leave users a choice what they prefer to use. I generally use the "recent"-feature. Not available on the mobile version : (. Thanks!

In the past it has become quiet around Phorum, at least if measured by the amount of traffic and general excitement on this forum. I am wondering how many people have installed Phorum and how many Admins are monitoring this forum while actively introducing improvements to their running installations. I could consider it. It would be more important if Phorum finally received a mobile app in order not to disappear from the Forum landscape within the near future. (I would throw in a calendar mod for Phroum!) But I guess, the major problem with Phorum is not so much the vision behind it but the problem of being underfunded. Great, Maurice - I am looking forward to it! It would open a new horizon. How about "getting a reward for hard work" instead of "selling" and "monetization"? That does not sound ugly to me - I just want Phorum to be the best!

I just attached an example. Mobile Suites are referring to both iPhone and Android compatible apps. In my opinion it is crucial for Phorum to become available as an app and not to leave the business to Tapatalk for example. Why not selling apps?

I am convinced that a minimum of message qualifiers is absolutely necessary if Phorum intends to keep up with the best. Who cares about the slight decrease in speed?

Their explanation: The issue is your mail program is connecting to the mail server, then not disconnecting, then creating another connection (now there are 2) not disconnecting, then connecting again, (now 3) repeating until you get to many connections. Mail clients should connect, download mail, upload any sent mail, and disconnect. Your mail client is not disconnecting. What do you think?

Thank you, Thomas! Posts do not appear multiple times in the source account. I found this in the error log: 'An error occured while sending or receiving mail. The POP3 server did not accept the password: -ERR Maximum number of connections from user+IP exceeded (mail_max_userip_connections) Just to make sure I entered a new password. Do I have trouble with the number of connections?

Up till now I always believed in 0 and 1 ; ) All the data checked out fine. I tried to debug in control.php, as well. No php error log. No events except that I need to set the time zone correctly with PHP 5 running on the server. Maybe I forgot to close a <div> somewhere? Thanks again!

What would be the next debugging step if a template remains empty? After the template "cc_groupmod" in groupmod.php is called, the CC remains empty except the menu. The data show up correctly before the call. I can't find anything in the PHP error log. Sorry for the odd question!

Hi Phil! Unfortunately, these particular features require changes within the DB in order to work properly. A module won't help.
