Re: New line under "Personal Profile" in Control Center - 16 years ago
QuoteYou can also edit the templates directly to add the extra menu item in there if that is easier for you.I'm assuming you mean in the templates folder? Which files specifically? I think one of the things throwing me off so much is the plethora of files, all referencing each other, and I'm never sure where the new code should go. So I'd need to update a template file, then surby Bluepies - Phorum Support
Re: New line under "Personal Profile" in Control Center - 16 years ago
That looks great as far as adding a new line goes, but the functionality of that module is pretty different from what I'm looking for. Was looking for something a little more like the "Enhanced User Profile" module, only with a new line in the control center for certain fields. What specific line of code in the "User Avatar" module creates the new line in the controlby Bluepies - Phorum Support
Re: Custom Header - 16 years ago
Here's a link. Ideally the green box "surrounding" the image needs to get bigger and become transparent (or just disappear altogether), and there needs to not be any padding around the image I'm trying to use. I've been able to get ride of the green box by replacing it with a white or transparent box, but I can't make it taller. The image used for the green boxby Bluepies - v5/v6 Templates
Custom Header - 16 years ago
Looking to replace the bar with the "Phorum" logo at the top with a header of my own. Figured out how to do that in the templates folder, but the header is way too big and hangs behind the text. Anyone know how what adjustments to make so that the header sits comfortably between all the other content? Any general help with adding a custom header image would be appreciated.by Bluepies - v5/v6 Templates
New line under "Personal Profile" in Control Center - 16 years ago
So I'd like to add a new line under "Personal Profile" in the Control Center that has a handful of new fields. I work for a recycling company, and here's what we'd like it to do: There would be a dozen or so fields, stuff like "aluminum cans" and "glass bottles." People punch in how much they recycled since the last time they logged in. At the boby Bluepies - Phorum Support
Passwords and Profiles - 16 years ago
I'm pretty new to this forum stuff. When a user creates a username and password, where does that information go? Is it stored on my server somewhere, or in one of the php files? Does it go to Phorum.org's database somewhere? Wherever it is, do I have access to it? Also, on my website, I'd like to set it up to add at least a dozen new fields to a standard user profile. Putting forum within existing website template - 16 years ago
The website I run already has a template that I'd like to keep. Is there any way to put the forum within that template, so the right sidebar is still the same, there's still the same header image and row of links at the top, but the forum is only the main content on the page? I can't figure out how to do that.by Bluepies - Phorum Support
Re: Need help with installation - 16 years ago
Alright, now I've changed something and I get this message: "The database connection failed. Please check your database configuration in include/db/config.php. If the configuration is okay, check if the database server is running." So I must've done something wrong with the configuration. Anyone know what the most common configuration mistakes are?by Bluepies - Phorum Support
Need help with installation - 16 years ago
Having trouble with installation. I've downloaded, unzipped, put the files in the root directory, and configured to the best of my knowledge. When I open admin.php, I get this: ='2005081000')) { // this is an install $module="install"; } elseif ( (isset($_REQUEST["module"]) && $_REQUEST["module"]=="upgrade") || $PHORUM['inby Bluepies - Phorum Support
