Hello, Because I couldn't find anything that performed this function, I created a simple module that will share posts to social network sites. It is currently limited to Twitter, Facebook, and Google+. This module creates links on the post pages that allow you to share a post to the respective sites. It does NOT provide Like or +1 functionality, as I didn't really think this was partby rtetzloff - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons

Thank you. I had repaired the table through phpMyAdmin and that reported no issues. The issue seems to have resolved itself over night. I guess I'll keep an eye on it to see if it happens again and whether I can pinpoint the issue. Thanks for your help!by rtetzloff - Phorum Support

Hello, I have a Phorum site that has been using Phorum 5.2.x for over a year now without too many problems. Today, however, we started experiencing an issue that I've not seen and cannot resolve on my own. I've also not found any real similar problems that are relevant. I had been running Phorum 5.2.9, but upgraded to 5.2.12a trying to resolve the issue. I also have a large numberby rtetzloff - Phorum Support

For anyone that cares, I've spent some time working on this module to get it to do what I like. The changes I've made allow you to choose the forums from which tweets are made. I've not made it compatible with any sort of vroot stuff, just forums. It's been a long time since I posted the previous message, but I figured I'd let people know how I worked around this. It seems the problem with the index page being displayed improperly was a result of using the index_classic.tpl file for my forum. To resolve this, I simply moved the index_classic.tpl file to index_classic_old.tpl and copied index_new.tpl to index_classic.tpl. Thby rtetzloff - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons

I'm not sure it has a real advantage over RSS, but there's a possibility that some people check their Twitter home page and would prefer to be notified that way, rather than RSS. I just think that some people would prefer that option.by rtetzloff - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons

Thanks a ton for this! I realize that you're more looking to have people help develop this, but I'm not sure I have the ability to do too much programming for this. However, I'm able to test it on the phorum installation I run. Anyway, I've installed this plugin after upgrading to Phorum 5.2.9a, and it does seem to work mostly. Brian, Thanks much for this module. I'm wondering if there's a way to limit the Twitter posts to threads within a certain forum... For example, I'd like the Twitter posts to be the publicly available ones, but I have an admin only forum from which I don't want Twitter posts. I was also thinking that a user warning system might be implemented into that as well, so admin users could give a warning to users for something and get banned after a certain number of warnings in a certain amount of time... Is there currently any way to temporarily ban a user from a Phorum installation, other than applying a ban and keeping track on the side? If not, are there any plans to implement such a feature? Basically I'm looking for the ability to ban particular users for a specified period of time, but not permanently. Ideally, this would be settable on a per-ban basis. Thanks. That is what I'm going for. However, there seems to be a minor problem. I currently have four rules that define a value for the same variable name. For some reason, the list pages are only showing the appropriate tag for the most recently created rule that is set to display them in the list page. The right idea is there, though! Maurice, Thanks for the great work on the Phorum and the modules. I really love this after switching to it from DCForum+ a few months ago. (I had no control over the old software, heh!) With this module, I'm wondering if it would be possible to allow the tags to be used on the list pages for the author or recent author of the post.
