Re: Module: Terms of Service - 16 years ago
Possible bug? I was on my admin username, helping someone to edit their post, when it told me I need to agree to the terms. Fine by that, but there wasn't a checkbox on the page though; I had to open up my actual terms of service page to click the agreement, before I could edit the post. -Ryanby Ryan - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons

I have to thank you again for this wonderful addon. You do wonderful work! Just a few questions and possibly some bugs: 1. Is Stefan's change something that I should implement into my current version of the addon, then? 2. Any chance of a changelog, so that users will know what was changed, and can keep their changed templates from previous versions without wondering if one of the fby Ryan - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons

A rating module sounds like a great idea, especially with the stars. The User Thank/Flame mod has some bugs, and it's been a while since the dev has put out an update.by Ryan - Phorum Hack/Mod Requests

QuoteJ. David Smith No, its not abandoned. I've just been a bit busy with other things. That and my dev computer died. But I just finished piecing together a new one and will start working on this again soon. I have another module I am going to work on (unpublished, still in concept phase) as well, so everything may not happen immediately Does anyone have a demo of this up and running, orby Ryan - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons

QuoteMaurice Makaay BTW: Note that you are expanding on the original requirements at some points. I'm not sure how Ravenswood looks at this, but normally for paid projects, as a programmer you quote for the set of requirements that has to be implemented. Extending the requirements means that more work has to be done and that in return, more money has to be paid. Next to that, it's goodby Ryan - Phorum Hack/Mod Requests
Re: User Image Gallery Module (Being worked on) - 17 years ago
Very cool, I'm amazed! You don't have to worry about the reset button. There isn't a lot of information to really enter, so it's not necessary. Some things I have noticed: -Maximum size for a user gallery is unable to get set. It just resets back to 5000 everytime. -While putting in the information in for an image, is it possible to block the breadcrumb, so users dby Ryan - Phorum Hack/Mod Requests

So far we've reached the goal. Thank you to everyone who donated. Ravenswood said he should have a prototype coming up soon. :)by Ryan - Phorum Hack/Mod Requests

We're over halfway to our goal! There's still a way to go, though. Donations don't have to be big--$1, $5, whatever you can spare, is greatly appreciated. Future users of this module will thank you. :)by Ryan - Phorum Hack/Mod Requests

The Phorum Event Logger has been reporting an undefined variable and undefined index. It's probably not important, but figured I ought to let you know. I've got both of those files. I re-downloaded the mod, and found that I have the same German files as the module. Sorry I haven't posted before, but I use this module for two different phorums and love it! There is something I noticed today though. User Image Gallery Module (Being worked on) - 17 years ago
Phorum is getting a User Image Gallery module! Goal: $165/$150 (COMPLETED!) Thank you all who helped us reach this goal! Ravenswood has agreed to take on the commission of making a User Image Gallery module for Phorum. This will be a public module for anyone to use, once it is completed. Though it will be a very complex one to write, he is only going to charge $150. Since I know thereby Ryan - Phorum Hack/Mod Requests
Re: Module: Jumpmenu - 17 years ago
I was able to change all the colors with the default css.tpl supplied, except for the link color (when not highlighted). For some reason it was a color I didn't specify in settings.tpl, I may look into that later. If there is something there for it in the mod's css.tpl, then I missed it--pardon me, just really tired. So far one possibly-interested programmer! In the meanwhile, I'd like to know other people's opinions on the idea for a User Gallery module, and any suggestions they may have. This is what I have so far: Each registered user would have an image gallery. Upgrading from 5.2.12a to 5.2.13 - 17 years ago
It has to be something I'm doing wrong, but at this point I have a huge headache and just gave up. Posting here is my last chance. I am currently running 5.2.12a. I don't suppose it's possible to shorten a long list on the hover menu and apply a down arrow so the person can scroll down to more forums? I have a really long list but I can't shorten them, since they're on individual species. Also, I'm not sure how to get the CSS working. Re: User Image Galleries? - 17 years ago
QuoteDavidVB Well, ya get what you ask for. But as I don't know how to integrate any type of 3rd party gallery application into Phorum, and as I don't want to (bridge updates = tedious), then that plan is moot. I'd rather keep things in the Phorum family than look outside it. My offer still stands, to pay a programmer for a User Gallery Module. QuoteVoltiusScenerio: If/when the site gets popular, the last thing I need is some dumb kid posting a bomb threat, then someone calling the cops, them asking me to hand over the IP info that I don't have, they don't find the kid, find out it was a real threat at all, and people dying. Re: Module: Static Pages - 17 years ago
Strange, my message got caught up in Phorum's spam filters, so I guess I'll have to reword this and hope it goes through. While using this module, deleting pages do cause their file names to disappear from the dropdown box, but also gives you an error that says the file was not deleted. QuoteDavidVB If you work with a program that was designed for integration (and not one that is a stand alone project), the integrating is going to be easier.
