Re: Module: Banner Manager - 16 years ago
I'm using the 1.04 version of Banner Manager. I'd like it to display banner only in the list pages of the forum and not in the read pages. Is there a simple way to do this? Thanks for your help.by edumus - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons
Re: Strange problems with template - 16 years ago
Same problem again. I've loaded into the browser the link when the problem occurred and the same link when the problem was fixed. The css during the problem has this code added /* Printing classes */ /* Override classes from css.tpl */ .PhorumNavBlock,.PhorumReadNavBlock { display: none; } I don't know why there is this difference. I'm having the same problem again. Now I'm using 5.2.14 version, the templates are stored in the "cache" directory inside Phorum. I just have to reupload css.tpl to fix the problem. Re: Strange problems with template - 17 years ago
yesterday I had the problem again. I tried to clean the cache with the admin interface but this didn't solve the problem. I looked into the directory template and all the files, time and permission were ok. Finally I reuploaded the css_print.tpl and the forum was ok again. It' s a very, very strange problem...!by edumus - Phorum Support

I've found these alerts and warnings in the event logging module, maybe they can help you. - PHP error: phorum_get_file_contents: file "./templates/classic/settings.tpl" does not exist - PHP warning: filemtime() [<a href='function.filemtime'>function.filem time</a>]: stat failed for ./templates/classic/settings.tpl - PHP error: phorum_get_file_contentby edumus - Phorum Support
Re: Strange problems with template - 17 years ago
I had the same problem 3 hours ago. I tried to reupload only css.tpl but this didn't solve the problem, I had to reupload all the classic template files to fix it. Clearing cache with "Clear cache" command from the admin menu is the same that reuploading all the templates? I attach here a screenshot of my forum. Re: Strange problems with template - 17 years ago
QuoteMaurice Makaay If the issue occurs, can you then reproduce it? In other words: does the issue occur until you re-upload your template files? (which triggers automatic recompilation, you could also have cleaned out your cached template tpl-* files in /tmp). If it is reproducable once it occurs, then we could take a look at the broken system and the data from /tmp (if you provide us ftp or sby edumus - Phorum Support
Re: Strange problems with template - 17 years ago
Maybe it doesn't dipend on the browser, I had the same problem with IE, Firefox, Netscape. Many users sent me an email, they couldn't see the navigation link too. I had no empty squares, I tried to reupload the languages files and that didn't solve the problem. The forum was with no navigation, options and moderation frames. Strange problems with template - 17 years ago
I'm having some strage problems after upgrading from 5.2.11 to 5.2.13 For two times my forum had no navigation links, all the messages were displayed, all was ok but no reply, new topic, private messages etc. links were displayed. I resolved this problem by uploading again the /template/classic files. After a comparision no size or permission files were changed. What's the probleby edumus - Phorum Support
Re: Module: forumstats - 17 years ago
I often prune messages in my forum, I'd like to show in the stats the total messages or threads that have been posted in the forum, including the ones I've deleted. In other words the stats should show the ID number of the messages/thread table. Is it possible with a little hack of forumstats?by edumus - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons

Re: Can't edit users - 19 years ago
Quotemmakaay What you can check, is if you can increase the amount of memory that PHP can use (this is configured in php.ini through the memory_limit configuration parameter). That might fix the page for you. Thanks, now it works. I've increased the memory_limit to 32MB (it was 8MB)by edumus - 5.1 Phorum Support

Re: Making backup of db - 19 years ago
Quotebrianlmoon So, for now, the only way to ensure no writes is to put Phorum in disabled mode unless you do not have view counts enabled. Re: Phorum and safe mode - 19 years ago
Quotemmakaay The PHP people turned their back on this feature for PHP 6, so apparently they do not see it as a good feature anymore. Here in the Phorum support forum, I only remember people who were having troubles with safe mode enabled servers. Now I'd like to turn safe_mode on to increase the security of php, so I ask you: - does Phorum work with safe_mode on? - are there any changes to do in the forum settings? - do I have to delete all the /tmp files before change in safe_mode on? - do I have toby edumus - 5.1 Phorum Support
