Future of Phorum.org Hosting - 4 years ago
Hello everyone, while I couldn't work at all on Phorum anymore, I was hosting the phorum.org site for the last couple years. As I'm not running public servers anymore from 15th of November this year, I also can't continue hosting the phorum.org site anymore. Any proposals or takers who can reliably and trustfully continue the hosting adventure? Get in touch through PM heby Thomas Seifert - Announcements

Re: Help please! - 8 years ago
I'm sorry but you should know what you changed or removed. I guess it was some php file which was included somewhere. or you might have had some automatic prepend file or similar. I don't know the setup of your website itself, so I don't know where you would find these 2 functions.by Thomas Seifert - Phorum Support
Re: Help please! - 8 years ago
It was never about the file existing but in footer.tpl you added calls to get_sidebar and get_footer which must be functions from your own site. somehow these don't exist anymore - which must have been a change from yourself.by Thomas Seifert - Phorum Support
Re: Help please! - 8 years ago
First thing I see there: Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_sidebar() in /home2/kennedy/public_html/phorum/cache/tpl-AANY-footer-221168a1e41e9940057e5853aec8718f.php-stage2 on line 5 in the footer. And thats not a phorum function, something you probably added and is missing now.by Thomas Seifert - Phorum Support

Re: Installing Problem with database setup - 9 years ago
and "doesn't work" is not really an error description. What happens when you edited only the db info in config.php? what error did you get?by Thomas Seifert - Phorum Support
Re: Invalid email error message when Im attempting to register a new user to the phorum - 9 years ago
which email address did you try? any? does your server allow outgoing network requests? if not, try to disable "DNS Lookups" in the Phorum General Settings.by Thomas Seifert - Phorum Support

Re: Phorum 5.2.22 released - 9 years ago
Marco, your live site shows at that you are using 5.3-dev version. So a 5.2.x install would actually be a downgrade, which is not supported and therefore you got a not-matching database version.by Thomas Seifert - Announcements
Re: MySQL Database issues after server upgrade (to PHP 7) - 10 years ago
in general settings you have "Database error handling" to define whether to write to a file or show on screen. By default its written to the phorum-sql-errors.log in the cache folder.by Thomas Seifert - Phorum Support
Re: 500 error ?? - 10 years ago
that could be any php error. check whether you have some php error log on the server side - not from phorum, but from the system.by Thomas Seifert - Phorum Support
Re: Migration to phorum from a .sql database - 10 years ago
you mean an sql database which is not from phorum? you would probably have to write a script to import it in the phorum structure thenby Thomas Seifert - Phorum Support
Re: Hi there, i am going to use phorum software for my upcoming forum but, i have some question if anyone can help i will be very thankful to him. - 10 years ago
- Twitter integration can be coded, but is not fully available like that yet. - Anonymous forum, depends on what you understand with that but there is no registration needed if you set it up like that. - Automatic link retrieval can be coded as wellby Thomas Seifert - Phorum Development
