Re: Punctuation in Phorum-message field - 10 years ago
Hi Erik, you find the languages files under /include/lang/. Inside the language file you have to look for: // The charset to use for displaying special characters. $PHORUM["DATA"]['CHARSET']="UTF-8"; Your mysql database should use a utf collation like utf8_general_ci. Re: Showing Custom Profile Fields... - 10 years ago
Hi Brummie, like nearly everything in Phorum: with an individual programmed module... You can use a template hook in cc_user.tpl to call a function in your module which extends the $PHORUM['DATA']['USERS'] array. Regards Oliverby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support
Re: Showing Custom Profile Fields... - 10 years ago
Hi Brummie, your observation is correct. Sorry. The users array in the control panel for unapproved users doesn't contain meta data... See include/db/mysql.php: // {{{ Function: phorum_db_user_get_unapproved() /** * Retrieve the users that await signup approval. * * @return $users * An array or users, indexed by user_id, that await approval. * The elements ofby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support
Re: Showing Custom Profile Fields... - 10 years ago
Hi Brummie, QuoteBrummiehow would I show this field in the Unapproved Users page? template file cc_users.tpl, inside the "{LOOP USERS}": {IF USERS->yourcustomfield}{USERS->yourcustomfield}{/IF} (not tested) Regards Oliverby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support
Re: Setting future date? - 10 years ago
Hi Brummie, the meta column is fully handled by the core. If you have anywhere a message array you will find also the meta information as an subarray. Normal use is inside a module. Module functions are called by hooks. A lot of hooks offer the needed message(s). See inline documentation for hook descriptions and examples. Regards Oliverby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support

Re: Allowing Emojis? - 10 years ago
Hi Brummie, the Smileys Module simply replaces text smileys by html image tag... You can add your own smiley definitions in the module settings. Regards Oliverby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support
Re: Allowing Emojis? - 10 years ago
Hi Brummie, please check path value in the module settings. Can you provide a link to a post which should include Smileys? Regards Oliverby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support
Re: www.chine-nouvelle.com - 10 years ago
Hi Peter, it seems that the administrator set the whole forum to "read only" (in the administration panel, "Phorum status" at the upper right corner; set it to "normal"). Regards Oliverby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support
Re: Allowing Emojis? - 10 years ago
Hi Brummie, you are using the Smileys Module? Regards Oliverby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support
Re: Shorten date if today? - 10 years ago
Hi Brummie, perhaps the Readable Dates and Concealed Times Module fits your needs? If you don't want something like "today, 20;27" you can change the language file for these module. Regards Oliverby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support
Re: Setting future date? - 10 years ago
Hi Brummie, QuoteBrummieCan you add additional fields to posts? Yes, via the serialized data in the meta column. Regards Oliverby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support
Re: Setting future date? - 10 years ago
Hi Brummie, I think you need a new module. But instead of setting the posting date to the future I think it's better to add an additional date field to these kind of posts. Regards Oliverby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support
Re: Setting future date? - 10 years ago
Hi Brummie, when you start a new thread you can make it sticky (see "Special: Make sticky" in the post form). I don't see the need to manipulate the date. Each answer will change the "last date" value on the list page. Posts are not sorted by date. I think you should include the date in the subject. Did you see the Google Calender Module? Re: Showing forums in header? - 10 years ago
Hi Brummie, QuoteBrummie Not sure if there's a better templatey way to do it, but i've done the following that's working: For me it seems a good way. I hope that you copied the emerald template folder and do all your changes on your "own" template. Future upgrades will be easier. Regards Oliverby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support
Re: Showing forums in header? - 10 years ago
Hi Brummie, QuoteBrummieSo if someone was in a certain group I'd like to show them a certain link, but can't seem to find any way of doing that All relevant user information is stored in $PHORUM['DATA']['USER'] In your case specially in $PHORUM['DATA']['USER']['GROUPS'] For testing purpose you can put the followby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support
Re: Showing forums in header? - 10 years ago
Hi Brummie, QuoteBrummieLooking at Jumpmenu does it just appear above the footer? It depends where you include it in the template... I use it in my header. See here (look for ">>Gehe zu Forum..."). Regards Oliverby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support

Re: Showing Custom Profile Fields... - 10 years ago
Hi Brummie, change read.tpl and read_hybrid.tpl and insert something like: {IF MESSAGES->user->yourcustomfield}{MESSAGES->user->yourcustomfield}{/IF} and change read_threads.tpl and insert: {IF MESSAGE->user->yourcustomfield}{MESSAGE->user->yourcustomfield}{/IF} Take care to not confuse with MESSAGES (plural) and MESSAGE (singular).
