Re: HTTPS on load balancer - 9 years ago
Hi Schurki, QuoteSchurki I've tried that module first, it's not working. Nevertheless you should implement your needs as a new module (perhaps based on the Automatic HTTP Path Module) instead of patching the Phorum core... Regards Oliverby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Hack/Mod Requests

Hi Marco, Quotemarco.troost Any ideas on updating the javascript of Phorum? I'm planning on using a theme throughout my site that utilizes the latest jquery. If i integrate jQuery 2.2.2 in my phorum templates, i get javascript errors ... Can you perhaps open a new issue in github and list the javascript errors? Re: Phorum 5.2.22 released - 9 years ago
Hi Marco, Quotemarco.troost It would also be super if Phorum could be made ready for php7. I don't have information about issues with php7. The few problems addressed in our support forums are solved. There are few tasks concerning depreciated functions (eregi; magic_quotes; split and mysql_escape_string), but they don't avoid to use php7... Regards Oliverby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Announcements
Re: Module: Embed Images - 9 years ago
Hi, take care when you are doing your tests! I had a similar problem with broken images and I lost a lot of time to recognize that I had to empty the browser cache for each new test... Regards Oliverby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons

Re: MySQL Database issues after server upgrade (to PHP 7) - 9 years ago
Hi Ulf, that's some different kind of error... Column moderator_data is missing... But why? The users table should be defined like this: CREATE TABLE `P5_iC_users` ( `user_id` int(10) UNSIGNED NOT NULL, `username` varchar(50) COLLATE utf8_unicode_ci NOT NULL, `real_name` varchar(255) COLLATE utf8_unicode_ci NOT NULL DEFAULT '', `display_name` varchar(255) COLby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support

Hi Svirvic, QuoteSvirvicMeta Description (version 1.1.3) Ah! I didn't notice that you are using the Meta Description Module. The support forum here doesn't, so I can't reproduce your problem here... Perhaps you should make a post in the corresponding module thread... Regards Oliverby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support
Re: Meta Description mod - 9 years ago
Hi Svirvic, some settings here in our support forum. So I tried to reproduce your problem with this thread: On the first page I can see the following meta tag in source code: <meta name="description" content=" After upgrading from MySQL 5 to 5.5 because 5 will be EOL on Dec 31 of this year, all of the posting images and avatars image are showing broken. Re: Meta Description mod - 9 years ago
Hi Svirvic, see "control center", "forum settings" or in the admin panel under "Forums, Default Settings", "Read view" respective individual forum settings. The wording in control center and admin panel is different: Flat = Multiple messages per page sorted by time Threaded = Multiple messages per page, threaded Hybrid = One message per page withby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support
Re: Meta Description mod - 9 years ago
Hi Svirvic, I'm not sure if I understand your problem... But nevertheless I have some questions: Which message display option do you use? "One message per page with threaded list", "Multiple messages per page sorted by time" or "Multiple messages per page, threaded"? Can you perhaps give an example (URL) from a thread here in our support forum? Rby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support

Re: A database error occured in Phorum - 9 years ago
You can try the following at mysql level (via phpmyadmin?): rename the original search table to something different, create a new search table with the old name and the same structure, rebuild the content via the Phorum admin panel. This way the search table occupies different sectors on the HD... The Phorum installations I maintain don't have this kind of problem.by Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support
Re: Fatal Error When Installing Phorum 5.2.21 - 9 years ago
Sorry to let you run into this problem. I'm using all changes to the Phorum software first in my own (productive) forum before I publish a commit to Github... But the error occurs only for new Phorum installations... I think you should give Phorum a second change...by Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support
Re: A database error occured in Phorum - 9 years ago
Hi Svirvic, QuoteSvirvic The fact is i do each time repair all the points in database integrity, but the error returns in a pair of days and approximetly in the same time in the evening. Should i repair my DB each time after correcting user posts? Do you the repair on mysql level? Phorum Database integrity doesn't solve the problem... For me it seems that your server HD is failling..by Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support
Re: A database error occured in Phorum - 9 years ago
Hi Svirvic, I think you have to do a repair with mysql... You can also truncate the search table and fill it again via the admin panel, database integrity, rebuild search data. Regards Oliverby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support

Re: Need help implementing private forum - 10 years ago
QuoteScott Finegan Not sure if it has been fixed, but there was a bug where having just one group caused the admin user search not to work. The fix is: Add a "dummy" group so you have two groups, then don't use it. Fixed in March 2011 with commitby Oliver Riesen-Mallmann - Phorum Support
Re: installation mysql - 10 years ago
