Try this... In css.tpl find this: #phorum a.icon { background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: 1px 2px; padding: 4px 10px 2px 21px; font-weight: normal; white-space: nowrap; } And replace with this: #phorum a.icon { background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: right 2px !important; padding: 4px 21px 2px 10px !important; font-weigby Skinny - Phorum Support
Re: Reset Edit Notification - 12 years ago
Finally ran across the answer tonight. The edit count is stored in the meta field of the messages table. Below is a code snippet that you can use to change the actual edit count. Pass the message ID to the function, and it'll clear out the edit info for that message ID. Loop through a list of message IDs and you can (permanently) remove all the edit info. function clear_edit_meta_inby Skinny - Phorum Support

Re: Git(Hub) and Stuff - 12 years ago
Please see Quote At the moment there is no development going on beside critical fixes. We can't see in the future though. Hmm, I suspect the devs just got busy and have other obligations to fill. Life moves on, and it can be hard to keep at it all these years. Maybe someday, maybe not, but whatever choice is made, I for one am really glad that they are keeping this site running. Re: Module: Search Engine Friendly URL's - 13 years ago
Yes, this add-on needs work to function correctly. I've been hacking at my sef_url.php file for a bit now to get it to work, and it now has a bunch of site specific stuff in it. Here is a better sef_urls_convert function with your change added: function sef_urls_convert($strValue) { setlocale(LC_ALL, 'en_US.UTF8'); $strValue = iconv('UTF-8', 'ASCII//TRANSby Skinny - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons
Re: Access to custom user/profile field within the message-list? - 13 years ago
Do you know how to print_r($PHORUM) on the page that uses that template? If so, you can do that and see what variables are there that you can use. Surround the print statement with if ($PHORUM['DATA']['USER']['user_id']) like shown below so only you see the output: if ($PHORUM['DATA']['USER']['user_id'] == X) // replace X with youby Skinny - Phorum Support
Re: How to disable some user functions? - 13 years ago
One idea, given I doubt there is a hook everywhere you would need, would be to put the following near the top of the files that you don't want your users accessing: phorum_redirect_by_url(phorum_get_url(PHORUM_INDEX_URL)); exit(); Add it after the phorum stuff is included but before what you don't the user accessing. Then if the user tries to access forbidden stuff, they will juby Skinny - Phorum Integration
Reset Edit Notification - 13 years ago
Hello, I have the Module: Hide Edit Notification at installed. Thanks for this!! Right now I am still developing my site so I am editing posts a number of times to test things out. The "Hide Edit Notification" module works great for hiding the module, but I would like to change the actual edit count when I am done and ready to go live. I cannot see where to do this and for someby Skinny - Phorum Support
flite - 13 years ago
Well, it seems like I'm a few years too late and this is probably posted somewhere, but... flite is that program you can use with Phorum to "listen to this code in spoken form." More info about flite is at To install flite go to and download the "flite-1.4-release.tar.bz2" file. FTP this file in binary mode to your server and then log into your SSH terminal. Re: Module: Username Restrictions - 13 years ago
Please note that v. 1.0.2 of the "Username Restrictions" mod is included in Phorum v. 5.2.19. Thanks for that!! However, say you don't want <swear word> to appear in user names, you can now prevent it with v. 1.0.3 of this "Username Restrictions" mod - attached hereto - mod of the mod coded by Skinny. Re: Template: Emerald Alternate - 13 years ago
Not using this template but my guess is that that user list link you see goes to the add-on at so you could remove the user list link if you want or install the user list add-on.by Skinny - v5/v6 Templates

Re: Module: Search Engine Friendly URL's - 13 years ago
Installed. Thanks for this!! It works well, just a couple spots where _subject_ didn't get converted to the thread title (e.g, last post and a couple other mods I installed) but easy to fix. For anyone having this problem, the simplest fix I found was to edit the sef_urls_start_output function of this mod (or another mod's file in certain cases). What you do is print_r($PHORUM); oby Skinny - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons
Re: Module: Post Previews - 13 years ago
Installed. Thanks for this!! I did a little tweaking, and it is attached to share. Out of the box, this mod does a good job, thanks again, but one thing is if the previewed text is larger than the popup box dimensions, the last line in the popup box is cut more or less in half. Given this mod sets a constant box size, what I did was to determine the length of the text size and truncate it tby Skinny - v5/v6 Modules/Add-Ons
