Discussion of Phorum development. No support requests please.
Phorum status and future plans - 13 years ago
Dear development team, Years ago I used to use Phorum for some small website projects I had. Now I have not been in need of forum software anymore for quite long, but it seems I will be soon again. Since I was very impressed with Phorum back then obviously this was the first place to look at. I must admit though that what I found raised some concern for me about the future of Phorum. Thanks for the reply Maurice. I know i don't need to know more than the names of the available hooks and their description, which all is described nicely in the docs, but I simply like to know more than the strict necessity when working on a project. Heys. I hope I'm posting this in the right forum. I'm still new to Phorum, but am very impressed with its functionalities and seemingly endless possibilities. As expressed in earlier posts in time I would very much like to contribute to Phorum, probably mainly by designing new templates and modules. Ok, the script is done and is working axactly as planned. Many thinks to you Maurice. Also I must say im impressed with the clear documentation and straightforward coding of Phorum. Im a part-time web developer since about 18 months and was looking for a community script which is easy to manage and yet has great functionality. Maurice, thanks a lot! the simple mistakes are always the hardest to recognize~ especially when you are new to a script. The blocking of login and register page works now perfect. Remains the authentication part. Hi, This topic pretty much describes what i need to do myself, so its very handy. However, some things dont seem to work for me, so i hope you can tell me what im doing wrong... Im using Phorum as an iframe inside my webpage. The page is only available for viewing by logged-in users and thus contains session info about the user.
