How do i change the template color box

i want the main forum list shown like the thread list shown.
for example 1 box white 1 blue 1 white 1 blue.
like here:
[www.phorum.org]

i want to make it on the main forum list any idea how?

Update the index template to include an alternating style, like the list template does.

Did you take a look at list.tpl? The start bit is

{IF altclass ""}
{VAR altclass "alt"}
{ELSE}
{VAR altclass ""}
{/IF}
[/code]

After this bit, {altclass} is used in HTML class attributes. Via CSS, the class is styled.

I start get the idea but i am far from writing code for index i dont know html only a little so i cant do that, any one can Voltaire for it?

It would help if you would learn some basic HTML / CSS to be able to update your templates. We are most willingly to help with Phorum specific template language constructions, but helping out with basic HTML issues or even constructing full templates is not really what our support is about. My apologies if you expect different help from us.

When we have time enough at hand, then we might help people out with questions like this, but at this time all of us are quite busy and have to choose on what to spend the limited time that we have in regards to the Phorum project. I hope you understand this limitation.
