Template: Emerald Alternate

This template was based off of the original "Emerald" template. It basically functions the same way as Emerald, except that it had separate cells and alternating colors for cells--as opposed to alternate highlighting of each thread.

This template is for Phorum 5.2.

Updated the template to allow a header graphic to be displayed at the top of the forum, in addition to (or replacing) the name of the forum. This is controlled by a new option in the settings.tpl file. Also, the live preview of the template now includes the ability to toggle the header graphic on or off so you can see how both versions look.

Nice template, but there seems to be an issue with the delete topic mod function. It works in other templates but not with this one. While other templates don't use a javascript link to delete, this one does.

Here's the code:

[code="javascript"]
javascript:if(window.confirm('Willst%20Du%20dieses%20Thema%20wirklich%20l%F6schen?'))%20window.location='domain/forum/moderation.php?2,2,5';
[/code]

Any ideas what's wrong?

Thanks!

I tried the "delete topic" function on my system and it worked. So I need a little more information to try to reproduce what you're seeing.

What version of Phorum are you using? You can find it in the upper-left corner of the admin screen. My version is "5.2.13".

What version of the template are you using? The latest version is 1.3. When you look for it in the template pull-down list, it should appear as "Phorum Alternate Emerald Template 1.3".

You appear to be using a German translation file. Which one? That may be the cause of the problem.

Please let me know, and I'll look into this matter further. Thanks.

Hi Ravenswood. Thanks for getting back to me.

I'm using Phorum 5.2.14 and Template 1.3.

As to the German translation file: Deutsch (Du) männlich.

And you're right, it is the translation file. I switched to English and it's working now. Any ideas what the issue could be? Could it be something with the %20 characters?

Hi Ravenswood,

I have installed the emerald_alt_1.03 template and it is wonderful. Thank you for your work.

One problem I have. After the user is logged in, next to Privat Messages I get a link "User List" . Where should this link brings me ? Right now it is linking to every currently open page.

How could I fix this, as Phorum is new to me. Just working 5 days with it.
Any hint would be appreciated.
Thank you

Johannes

Not using this template but my guess is that that user list link you see goes to the add-on at [www.phorum.org] so you could remove the user list link if you want or install the user list add-on.
