Module: Hide Edit Notification

This is the "Hide Edit Notification" module. It is a Phorum 5.2 rewrite of the old Phorum 5.1 module "Drop Edit Message" This module will hide the "Edited [x] times..." notification message that is put below a message after editing it. You can configure for which types of users to do this (admins, moderators and/or users).

    - Rewrite for Phorum 5.2.

    - The edit message is now hidden dynamically, which means that the
      edit message is also hidden for already posted message. This is
      different from the 5.1 version of the module, which changed the
      actual edit count for the message at post time.

      The big advantage of the new method is that the edit count value
      won't get lost. It will also keep the "View changes" functionality
      intact.

    - Renamed the module from "Drop Edit Message" to "Hide Edit Notification"
      to reflect the new functionality a bit better and to match the name
      of the "Format Edit Notification" module.

Hi Maurice,

Very useful mod, the edit message always looked out of place in my eyes.

Once suggestion, as an admin I see (view changes) under the last line of a message. A better placement for this would be in the rectangle holding Delete + Replies Hide + Replies Edit.

I'm using the Phorum Lightweight Template 1.0 as the basis for a new site, I'll have a look at how it can be done.
