Question About Announcement Mod

Hi,

I have enabled the Announcement Mod, created an announcement forum with none checked in the Folders options, yet my announcements don't appear with a space above the other forums as yours do. I also have "Forums" instead of "Announcement" in the heading and don't have the blue icon I see on yours, just the same yellow folder icons as the other forums. For example:

Announcement Phorum-5.2.8-RC2 released 07/04/2008 12:26PM

I must be doing something wrong, but can't figure out what. I searched these forums, looked at the info about the Mod, but still can't get it right unless I'm supposed to put {MOD_ANNOUNCEMENTS} in the template above the forums, but I don't think this is what you have done.

How can I get this right?

Thanks in advance for any help and for the great forum script you have created. I've used many forum scripts, had PhpBB and SMF for years, but I'm liking what you've created best, and the many options and outstanding admin tools.

The announcements are shown from the after_header hook, which means that you do not need any template changes. To start simple: did you select the announcements forum in the settings for the announcements module?

Got it working. Following your suggestion, I rechecked the Module. Though I'd turned it on, I'd forgotten to click the Submit button at the bottom of the Mods page. Thanks.
