Not sure why its not showing. The guest part is showing tho. I registered and noticed it appears you mearly modified the english.php file rather than putting a new language file in there. You might want to check to make sure that you didn't miss one of the lines when you updated the php file. Also check the ./admin.php with your browser to check the mod settings.

Someone there can help me to make a script, where the users can see the page other users are looking at.

Like this:
[www.feltet.dk]

Does anyone have any idea why this mod may have stopped counting guests ? I've re-installed it and had a look around but can't see anything that could explain it.

It did work originally by the way.

Thanks

I just wanted to say that I cannot open the old .tar.gz archive of this mod which I tried to use first. tar comes up with this error message:

$ tar xfz ../../downloads/mod_onlineusers.tar.gz
gzip: stdin has more than one entry--rest ignored
tar: Read 183 bytes from ../../downloads/mod_onlineusers.tar.gz
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

The newer .zip works fine for me.

Modification of the mod for use with a custom template.

Basically, it exports the data from $PHORUM["mod_onlineusers"] to $PHORUM["DATA"]["mod_onlineusers"] and adds a flag $PHORUM["mod_onlineusers"]["loaded"] so that a template can see if the module is enabled.

So one can do something like:

{IF mod_onlineusers->loaded}
{LOOP mod_onlineusers->data->users}
{IF mod_onlineusers_users_loop_has_already_listed_somebody}, {/IF}
{VAR mod_onlineusers_users_loop_has_already_listed_somebody 1}
{IF mod_onlineusers->data->users->admin}<b>{/IF}
<a href="{mod_onlineusers->data->users->profile_url}">
{mod_onlineusers->data->users->displayname}
{IF mod_onlineusers->show_idle_time} {idle_time}{/IF}
</a>
{IF mod_onlineusers->data->users->admin}</b>{/IF}
{/LOOP mod_onlineusers->data->users}
... etc
{/IF}

The old code calling the stdblock template is leaved there, so the mod will work with no settings change too. To use old way, choose pages where the online users should be shown. To use new way, write your template and call it. You can even mix both.

Some movements are made to accomplish that. Code common for both ways is isolated in the function mod_onlineusers_dang(), and some template-related code is moved to the update-functions.

Also, another addition is there. When a guest logs in and becomes a user, he is now deleted from the guest list.

The modification is based on version 2.3.1.

Grab the file from the next post.
