Spellchecker mod for preview

Hi,
you could check if $PHORUM["user"]["user_id"] is greater than 0 (it's 0 for guests):

if (!empty($_POST["preview"]) && function_exists("pspell_new") &&
    (!isset($PHORUM["DATA"]["USERINFO"]["spellcheck"]) || $PHORUM["DATA"]["USERINFO"]["spellcheck"]==1) &&
    $PHORUM["user"]["user_id"] > 0) {...
I can make it an option if I find the time :-)

Can I get the spellchecker on danish? If yes where?

You can set danish in the mod settings (if Aspell is installed).
There's no danish language file yet, feel free to write one :-)

I've added it to my forum as well. Great work :).
I didn't look into it thoroughly but it seems to break the bbcode in the preview when enabled. I guess it should ignore the bbcode for spellchecking?

Hi Thomas,
in my tests the bbcode was "executed" before the spellchecking, it ignores HTML tags. Your bbcode seems to be parsed after spellchecking, but why?

the order in which the modules run in a hook (if they are using the same) is not defined in any way.
maybe thats the problem here.

This spell checker mod is nice and I am using it but I would like to see a mod where it drop down a list of words to choose from which you select the correct word and it would update the misspelled word to the word you selected.

Now that would be a niffy spell checker mod!

Hi,
you find attached a new version which should strip bbcode tags before spellchecking.
I also updated the settings which didn't work right and added the option to turn off spellchecking for guest posters.
Unfortunately I can't test it at the moment, pspell isn't available at my server anymore. So I don't know if it works. I would be glad if you, Thomas, could try it out.

Bill, it sounds like you want a javascript GUI or something like that, unfortunately I'm not into this, so I can't help you, sorry...
