Odd, the rss script does not include the footer. Not sure where that came from.

I get this error message when i try to browse rss.php (for troubleshooting reasons):
XML Parsing Error: xml processing instruction not at start of external entity
Location: [happymtb.org]
Line Number 2, Column 1:

^
RSS readers can not load the feed.
The Phorum uses mod_rewrite to get url:s like http://happymtb.org/forum/list.php/1 instead of http://happymtb.org/forum/list.php?1 and I suspect this is why it doesn't work?
I used the rss.zip from the first post.
I have not attached the example.php code to my footer.tpl yet.

You have a newline at the first of your document that is generated. Check our source for some errant newline.

Hi - wanted to let you know that the code worked perfectly here - just dropped right in. The only thing I noticed, an admittedly obscure case, was that I get an error "Notice: Undefined variable: items in c:\apache\htdocs\asite\phorum\rss.php on line 89" if I try to pull the RSS feed for a completely empty forum. Thanks for sharing the nice work!

I replaced this:
$data.="
".htmlspecialchars($item['description'])."
\n";
With this:
$data.="
".phorum_format_messages(htmlspecialchars($item['description']))."
\n";
I also tried it with format messages inside htmlspecialchars - doesn't seem to work - I'm php challenged, so I might've gotten that worng...
