Hi,
I like this feature very much.
As I'm not so familiar with RSS, maybe it's wrong what I'm thinking:
Don't you need an encoding-attribute in the first line of the feed like
For my phorum it works better, because there are many german umlauts, which are displayed as ? in Thunderbird, when the encoding is missing.
Also I added nl2br to the following line:
The text is more readable when there are linebreaks, especially when forum messages contain quotes.

What are you using to read it that does not respect the newlines?

Okay, now it says: "Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /www/mysite/html/board/rss.php on line 46"
This is line 46:
foreach($rows as $key => $row){

Hmm, for that particular error, I used IE. When I open the link in Firefox it says "this XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it." but it displays the document tree.
