The phorum frontpage

Hi there

My frontpage on my phorum is sometimes very slow. (30-40 secs and sometimes the site don't be viewed be the browser)

I have 75.000 posts in my mysql, and I can see there are over 1.200.000 entries i the mysql tabel - phorum_user_newflags. Is possible to change the code for a faster frontpage?

I hope this request is in the right forum.

disable "Show New Count in Forum List" and see if that helps.

sif4ever, just curious, did you rise the number of newflags per user in include/constants.php or is it at the default 1000 ?

No, I haven't change in that file, but it show more than the 1000 newest post?

the flags are tracking up to 1000 *read* messages and the new messages are computed by that. doing a "mark all read" regularly should help (for the current user).
the more unread messages stay there, the slower it will probably get.
