Hello

I have this error after installing this module

Fatal error: phorum_get_file_contents: file "./mods/resolved/templates/emerald/editor_before.tpl" does not exist in /include/templates.php on line 741

Hello,

installed this mod into Phorum 5.2.19 with template Emerald_Alt .
My folder/file structure is

\mods\resolved\templates\emerald\editor_before.tpl

but I still get the following php error

Update:
I copy the template folder in mods/resolved/templates and paste this under the name of emerald template in same folder.

mod/
  resolved/
    templates/
      template
      emerald

Now it works for me.

Only one PHP Notice is still in error log:

Yes but the plugin's template. Go to mods/resolved/templates and copy/paste the "default" directory to "template" in the same directory:

cd mods/resolved/templates
cp -r default emerald

Hi,

i have phorum 5.2.13 running and just installed this module.

After turning on, it is no more possible to enter a text.

Steps to reproduce:

* Click to "New Topic"
* Editorform was shown, but only the part until the message box. No more.

Does the module need modifications at the template?

Asuming that changing a line in info.txt would bring up the drop down menu on the list page, what do you think that would happen after that? There's no magic involved, so this would do nothing functionally. If you have troubles showing the drop down, you will certainly not be able to handle implementing the rest of your idea, because that is way more difficult.

My conclusion is that you are not a programmer.

You keep using words like "easily" ... "simply". This is not simple material.
Trust me on this one, this won't fly like you have it in mind.
Yes, I am sure that changes to the database + db layer would be needed to implement useful tagging of *any* kind.
Repeated distributed posting of your tagging ideas will no change that.

Basically, I want to gain flexibility and I want to avoid creating unnecessary forums by having users apply attributes to messages via this module. With the according drop-down menu I would like to give my users the option to only display messages with a specific attribute. Why not simply loop through the list messages and select the ones the user is interested in? I could easily extend the attribute list in this module. The positioning of the drop-down menu on the list page and the according changes in the message loop are missing. Do you really think that DB changes will be necessary? Thank you for your concerns!

What would be the functionality of that checkbox on the list page? What are you trying to accomplish here? Adding a drop down box to each message on the list page to mark threads resolved from there or something different? Please describe what you're aiming at. That makes it a lot easier to help you out.

Sorting on resolved or not is not feasible, unless you modify the database to make the resolved status an extra field and to add new indexes to the messages table to make selecting fast base on the resolved status. Next to that, you'll need to add modified versions of the database code to make the selections work. Really, this again sounds a lot like what you're trying to ask for in other threads, but without large structural changes this is not going to fly.

I'd love to be proven otherwise on this one of course.

Hi Vincent, I tried to integrate your "Resolved module" drop-down menu on the list page by adding another hook to info.txt. Do you have a hint for me why it won't work? By the way, I thought it might be helpful to sort "Resolved" and "Active" messages. Thanks for your help!

Looks like a very useful feature.

Idea for an additional feature:
One popular addition for this kind of module would be the option to appoint one or more messages as the problem solving replies. The solving replies should stand out in the read page (e.g. by using a different background color, which seems to be the most common way to mark these messages). Using this, people that read the thread and have the same issue can more quickly find the most interesting bit of information.

This module allows user to indicate the state of their request (New, Resolved or nothing). It is very usefull for forum used as support center, helper can see quickly the status of a request.
The status is added before the subject and only on the first post of the thread. Only thread creator and administrator can change the status.

Installation

Just unzip the archive in the mods directory and then turn On the module in the Admin panel.
