In addition to Oliver's comment: disable and re-enable the module after editing the info.txt to get the new info.txt loaded into the Phorum settings.

Isn't that done by simply disabling this module? Or are you talking on a per user base?

If the mods on the index page is considered unneeded info, then maybe the mod shouldn't be enabled on the forum at all.

It's not very nice that it's not possible to disable showing mods on Index page. Why do we need to stuff people with unneeded info?

It would be great to have a feature to select whether to list mods on index page.

Well...all of a sudden she showed up. Not sure what is going on but it seems to take a day or 2 for things to change. Might be a cache problem but not sure. Anyway, all is well now.

Sorry, no more ideas. Please look at function phorum_db_user_get_moderators in mysql.php. Try to run the both sql command directly in your database (you have to replace some constants) for example with phpmyadmin.

Do you get the expected seven moderators?

There isn't such limit in the module. The module uses a Phorum core function to get all moderators.

Is it possible that the missing moderator is also an admin? Displaying admins depends on general settings, "Ignore Admin for moderator-emails" (last option on this page).

Never mind. All of a sudden its back to normal. Weird. Is there a limit on the amount of mods names one can have? I have seven in one forum but only 6 are showing up.

Something weird happened just after I moved my database from Phorum 3 to Phorum 5. There are mods appearing who are NOT mods and do not have permission to be mods on the list. Also, when I click on their names to check their profile it links to some one elses profile.

I double checked each person in EDIT USERS and they indeed do NOT have permission to be a mod in that particular forum. Also, no matter what I do I cant add a mod...unless its one of those cache things and I just have to wait.

How can I delete these people from the mod list when they dont have mod permission to begin with?

Since this option should only affect email sending I think it's better to extend phorum_db_user_get_moderators, line 1942-1946:

On my test forum admins are not shown...

Hi,

great module really. Had some starting problems but they were due to me ;) but I've got one question left.

Is it possible that the administrator ist NOT shown as moderator in each and every board/forum? because on my board I'm admin but the moderation is completely in the hands of the moderators and I don't want people to come to me asking about the topics (of most of which I really know nothing)?

Would be really nice to know.

if it helps, I know some php and could change things in the file if you told me where and what. doesn't need to be a new feature in the mod.

Well all of a sudden it works just fine. Guess it was some sort of cache thing. I havent a clue why it works now and did not for 2 days.

Well I installed. No change. No mods show up in one forum where their should be at least one. The correct mod shows up in 1 forum, and where there should be at least 4 mods in one forum, there is only one. Myself as the admin show up in no forums.

please download version 2.0.1 from my original post. This version works well. I changed the sort function in all my modules because of an bug report in one of my modules. But it seems that I mal corrected this module. And the sort function here was working already fine. Sorry.

Yes. Although I am in testing mode on this forum there is 4 people I have given mod privileges too. And as the admin, shouldn't I myself be listed as a moderator? I'm not.

Sure that there is more than moderator in the corresponding forum? The mod shows only these users which are moderators in the indicated forum. If the user is moderator in another forum he is not shown.

Talk to your provider. There should be a way to get the cache directory writable.

But I'm wondering if this is really your problem. If Phorum cannot use the cache directory, it will not function at all. It needs the cache directory for writing compiled templates for example. So if you can view your forums, the cache directory probably is okay. It might be that it's set to another directory than your ./cache directory in the Phorum directory (e.g. C:\Windows\Temp or /tmp, which are the default locations provided by Phorum). To be sure, check the general settings. There the cache location is specified.
