Seek for a hack to move newest posts on the top

What i have to do, that the newest post is on the top on the page, not on bottom?

I'd like to show first message of the topic on top and then the newest message. Down should be written later messages.

And how can i set to show a maximum of 10 messages on one page?

Please i will be grateful, when you show me the changes in the code, and where i have to do a change.

there is an option in there somewhere called "float to top"

find it and select it...
