top 10 posts just the subject+link+seperate page

I am looking for a hack like on [www.evilwalrus.com]

they are not using forum but basically the same idea. On there main page they are displaying the latest topics in there forum with a link directly to that topic. I would like to be able to have a script that will just list the last 10 topics with links to them. I want this to be a seperate page that is the main thing. Can anyone help me out???

btw! This has to be in a sepearte file there are others here but they are hacks for files already existing in the forum and htis does me no good... This must also search all the forums(tables) and display the last 10 posts made (if you have read them or not)
