I had a user request to be "unsubscribed" from receiving email replies to a thread. Aparently there is no way currently to stop the thread replies from being emailed to this user since he checked the box "email replies".
Any suggestion or hacks for this problem?? This guy really wants to stop the emails from our site.

My first idea was that user will put their e-mail in a form and then it will show all topics that he subscribed at, but that
this is not going to work really well, because some bad ppl will subscribe/unsubsc. you without even telling it to you. So only one way to go is to make unsibscribe link next to the username, but that's not really secure too, any ideas?

Generate a trackingnumber (Password) an send it with the e-mails.
The user will have to enter e-mail-adress and the password to unsubscribe.
This will of course require another column in the Database.
But perhaps that's not too much trouble
Just make a form "Unsubscribe this thread".
I think a list with all the threads he subscribed will be too much.
Just an idea...
