That's the very reason why the breadcrumbs have all these handles attached to them: to be able to attach functionality. One idea could be to also extend the other items in the breadcrumbs menu as well. E.g. with jumpmenu's that are starting from deeper nodes or a list of recent messages when hovering over a forum node. There's nothing ready-to-go for that, but things have been prepared for it.

It needs to be added via a module.
Take a look at the latest version of the Recent Messages module for an example of how to add items to the jumpmenu. There's a hook available for handling this.

Really not critical, but if someone could suggest why Jumpmenu doesn't work on my phorum root page, that would be appreciated.
Once you go to an individual forum it starts to work, it's just the main forum list where it fails.
I always thought this was the expected behaviour, but I've just noticed this site doesn't have the same problem.

If I take a look with my Firefox, then I see the jumpmenu open on your index. Are you using MSIE? If yes: is there a javascript error showing in the status bar?

Weird, I'm using Firefox 3 but the popup doesn't appear in the main forum list, only once I go into list.php

Do you have Firebug installed for Firefox?
Maybe it's displaying some javascript warnings?
I have no idea now what could be the issue here.

Yes, I have Firebug set to break on all errors, but nothing is obviously showing up.
I'm pretty sure it has never worked on this page, but I didn't realise it should until now.
