Migrating 5.1.16a to newer version

Hello all,

I have been using version 5.1.16a for many many years now. I was very satisfy until my dedicated server disk crash. The owner of the server reinstall it but since then it doesn't work properly... :-(

For many reason I decided to leave that server and return the forum to the previous server I was on. However, I'm not very good in programming PHP and other language. This is not my line of work.

I'm looking for someone who could migrate my current forum and upgrade it to a newer but stable version. I'm willing to pay this person naturally.

My current forum is: [forums.voileabordable.com]

I'm running 5.1.16a. I don't know which version I should be upgrading to. My only criteria is to be able to save the hundred of thousands of old message and many thousand users...

Any help is appreciated.

I've seen that "Phorum" offer hosting at 4.99 Eur/month. That could also work for me.

However the link provided doesn't work... ???
Can someone tells me more about it?

That link no longer works, as hosting is no longer available.
Thomas ended all hosting in November 2021. I took over hosting (edit) Phorum only, but have been too busy and forgetful to remove all broken links.

Ok but what about my initial post. Can someone help with migrating an older version to a new one?
