Integration of phorum into a symfony based project

Hi,
I'm new to phorum and want to integrate it as part of a larger symfony project. Has someone done this before? Need step-by-step instructions here (newbee) ...

If thats not posted here, then probably no one ever did it or just didn't post it publicly.
I would guess that some own coding will be needed anyway. Look through the developer docs on how to use the api, e.g. for login integration or similar tasks.
Sorry, no step-by-step instructions for complex tasks like these available.
