That was not my point. I have no problem with you hacking any of the code if it makes it work for you :-)
I'm just trying to help you flattening out the bumps by explaining where your error messages are coming from. It's perfectly okay to change the connector to your needs. You can change it to implement the logic for only syncing and returning user ids for users that are in the right Mambo group. Your error message sounds like you return user ids for all users on one side, but do not sync all users on the other side. If both parts of the connector only handle users in the phorum group, it should work.
