Need Help on Installation

I have a site that runs on php, and I've uploaded all the files to my server. Unfortunatly they are all in the main directory. I assume this is a problem. Could someone explain the easiest way to install forum v3 ?

Hmm... After reading the downloads page, it says "we ask all new users to download v5." What if I like v3 better? >_< I'm just going to ignore that and hope somone gives me a little insight on how to install v3.

extract the files with a real extracting-tool. they *need* to be in multiple subdirectories.
then read docs/install.txt.

yeah, you should install phorum5 if you meet the requirements. as we told there will be only serious fixes to the phorum3-tree, no enhancements or longer support.
