Hm, I am afraid I have to skip the picture in profile addition?

Yes.

It doesn't work that way it will present the picture no matter if it's in my_pic-folder or not.

Did you really put picProcessor.php in the main-phorum folder and chmodded it executable (only Linux) ?

Yes, tested it with Linux- and Windows-Server -> working fine.

Thomas did you test it on your system?

Anybody else tested it?

I just tried it.

You need at least to comment out the 2nd line, otherwise you won't ever see anything:

if(!defined("PHORUM")) return;

That code is meant if a file is included by phorum but your picProcessor is standalone.
I didn't get further as my install seems to lack gd-support but I don't really want to mess with that right now :).

Another annotation: if you run into trouble also comment out the next line:
error_reporting(0); // I don't mind what I don't see ;-)

and open the generated URL (starting with picProcessor.php) in your browser, it will probably tell you some errors if something is still wrong.

Thomas, you made my day! Commenting out the suggested line works! :-))

Another hint: The resizing didn't work as long as I had defined the sizes only in the cc_usersettings.tpl and profile.tpl. When undo the commenting out in picProcessor.php and setting the desired sizes, it works.

Pat: Thank you for this great hack!

Hi Thomas,

thanx a lot I wasn't aware that I uploaded that messed up version of the script. if(!defined("PHORUM")) return; was just a test.

Can I change the uploaded file by editing ? Guess not, heh...

It definately works with the sizes given via url, as I wrote.
Don't know why not with you...
Maybe you didn't delete the old template-files in the phorum-cache-directory?

maybe register globals disabled?
Just set
$newX = $_GET['newX'];

and the same for the newY.

No, sorry. just add a new one in a new reply and make a note in the first post.

Hi,
as I accidantly uploaded the wrong file earlier here the new and correct one, basicly only the first line of the earlier Version had to be deleted.
