can i call a php file instead of using a .tpl file?

Hi,

i'm working on a forum for a client, whoes site contains a PHP page header and a page footer which must be usable by several different languages. Here's the question:

Which file in phorum 5.0.15a calls the .tpl files, and how can I switch this to a file in the root called /top.php?

Thanks,

Gavin Burton

don't do this. just include the php in the templates directly. you can use all the php in there.

What ts77 said ... use php include to call other files ..

I use it on my Phorum without any problems to call the headers and nav bar and the footer into phorum so the site share the same look and feels without having to update Phorum's tpl ..
