Post count has nothing to do with user rank. That is a value stored in Phorum. The user rank module just assigns a string to users with a given post count.

The post is count correctly but is not interpreted correctly.

I did a test where I updated the value to 999. In the profile.tpl, the corresponding Grade was ok. When I posted another message to incease the count to 1000, the variable {PROFILE->posts} gives out 1,000 and this is not interpreted as 1000 but as 1.00 . The Grade output thus become as 1.

This bug only occur with the profil.tpl. In all other template I insered the "mod_userrank" variable, the out put is always correct. I also inserted the variable "{PROFILE->mod_userrank}" in the cc_start.tpl and it work just find. the 1000 has no coma in it and is interpreted as 1000, not 1.00.

I manually updated the post to 999000 and it give out 999,000 in the profil.tpl and 999000 in the cc_start.tpl and all other template I use it in.

So the problem is only associated with the profile.tpl.

Please check this fake username coco, pass coco

Profil.tpl
Command center

You will see, it's the same user. The command center give out the correct output but not the profil.

Any thought?

Hi Yves,

Yes
However, I also checked Soren's version and the line you refer too is not ther either!?!?!

I'm using the version from Tridus:

Tridus
New Version, 1.3.

Changes:
- User Ranks work on the Profile and CC Summary pages.
- Localized, supported language in this release is English. (only word is "Rank" anyway, but its there if you need it)
- Added readme.txt file with template suggestions.

Download: [www.hiredgoons.ca]

This is the first one I am distributing as a zip file instead of a tar.gz. If you prefer one format over the other, let me know.

Hi Oliver,

I did tried that version but somehow it seems the old setting file will not override. I keep getting Brain's setting file (without the drop list) even after I completly erase the folder.

Anyhow, thanks for your help but I'm giving up. I understand that nothing's perfect but I'm disapointed that they refuse to acknowledge the bug...

Regards,

yves

Has anyone tried this with 5.2? I don't see it in that forum.

I just tried it with 5.2, and it required some tweaking to work. Here's a patch; I'll pass it along to Tridus.

How do we use this patch? I tried making it executable, no good, then running the diff command at the top, still no good. Any help?

This mod has been replaced by the new "User Tagging" module for 5.2:
