Yeah yeah I know, there's latest 5 posts script but its just a snippet to be used somewhere on your page I guess.
I needed a page which I can use in the forum itself and using the templates the same way.

Have fun.

did you add the forum-id to the call too?
works fine here without a hitch.

no.. i didn't.. what does it mean to add the forum-id ?

does this only work with 1 forum as opposed to all of them?

yes, only one forum, its meant to be called from a forum like in p3 ... newest10.php?1
... the 1 is the forum-id ... so like the forum-id in list.php or read.php.

so in what way does this differ from list.php exactly? it seems pretty similar.

I guess it would be pretty easy to convert this so that it tells you all the new post across all your forums?

how hard would it be to take it the step further where it tells you all the latest posts in each forum except the ones you aren't allowed to read?

I just shows the latest posts, no threads or ordering by modifystamp or stuff. just the latest posts in descending order.

have fun while improving it.
I just needed that single-forum part ... others can do more ;).
might be simple but you also have to show from which forums they are and such.

yes exactly.. so how would best to do that and make sure people aren't seeing posts they aren't allowed to?

ie. see 25 posts they are allowed to see as opposed to 25 posts including some they aren't allowed or even 25 posts minus the ones they aren't allowed to.

Add it to my board and works fine, except it returns all BUT the most recent post. That is it returns the 2-11th most recent post. Any suggestions?
