all i'm saying is a list of the newest posts chronologically across all forums you are allowed to read is a very cool feature.
it's my number 1 most active page on my site and i have a feeling would do it's share to expand the phorum5 user base if this were in the features list.
that is all.
happy new year.

the addon either shows messages from *all* forums or from a given forum.
there's no support to show only the ones from a vroot.
the merged threads "issue" is not related to this addon, its coming from the way phorum handles merges - it adds new messages for that - and therefore they show on top.

ah i see. do you think this behaviour is something that should be corrected? it's a little misleading when users come to the site and check the "newest" page and see the moderators attempts to tidy up by grouping some threads this way..

Hi,
I downloaded newest.zip and followed all the intructions contained in the readme.txt file.
Maurice, you mention that it is necessary to modify index.tpl but I cannot locate the file in /templates/default/
The only ressembling files i got are :
index_classic.tpl
index_new.tpl
And I'm on Phorum 5.1.
Thanks, I would like to make the MOD work asap.
Regards,
Constantin.

Change index_new.tpl. That is probably the index template that you are using right now.

FYI, I'm using Newest11 in my Drupal 4.7/phorum 5.1.22 embedded forum. I had to make some minor changes in newest11.tpl.
Essentially I removed the .php on the links to the Show 20/50/100. Drupal didn't care for that, or else it's because I'm using clean URLs. Also the primary link to newest11.php is just newest11, for the same reasons stated above.
I also removed the navigation links since they were redundant or unnecessary.

I get the message:
no idea what is happening. I've been looking but I cannot find the phorum event log. anyone any idea where I can find it?

edit:
I've found the errolog
this is what it says
but the newest.tpl is in the directory of the template.
anyone who can help?
