This module will help with your moderation needs. Messages will be hidden automatically when a certain number or reports are submitted by your users. Also, this module will allow you to set how many reports are required for you to receive an email.

That's a great idea, I'll have a play with this later.
Depending on the type of site, it is potentially prone to abuse by people setting up multiple accounts just to hide messages they don't like.
It could also lead to users urging other posters to report a particular post.
I'm not trying to be negative, I just find the sociological aspects of web communities quite interesting :). I run one forum which receives a lot of spam, which this module could be perfect for. I run another that has certain groups of posters that dislike others - I'd be wary of installing the module on that one...
In an ideal community of course, this could virtually do away with the need for moderators...

The key is to not tell the users that the module is installed and/or how it works.

Well...
"Messages will be hidden automatically when a certain number or reports
are submitted by your users."
Can you explain what part isn't clear to you?

Did you already try it out? Looking at the module, I don't see 5.1 specific code at a first glance, so it might simply work.
