Hey,
i've some problem:
I can't bring the "Per-User Avatar"-module to list my image files.
I placed a gif, a jpg and a png in "my files", but the script isn't able to read just one.
It's a little bit strange, because for one time (first try) i could select my picture, and i saved the change. But now i'm not able to reconstruct this situation. (EDIT: Now it sometimes appears, but it doesn't work)
=> The image size is correct (smaller than configurated).
PS: Another error:
When i try to move a thread there is this error:

Hello,
I've installed the module into a phorum 5.0.21 and it seems to work.
Only 2 problems:
1) the language file does not seem to work. (i.e. no text in the 'personal profile' link to the avatar settings) Where does the english file need to be put? Is it an old version?
2) No avatars are visible in the beginscreen / overview all threads. Allthough I've modified all the files that are named in the readme.txt
Thanks for your help,
rene
I have both of these problems too! I've renamed my mods folder to 'user_avatar' and that solved the 'no settings error' but i'm still left with no text.
The mods/user_avatar/english.php seems to be a culprit.
1. Should it have an index for 'EditAvatar' as required by cc_menu.tpl.
2. Should english.php be in that directory?
Any help would be great! Cheers

Language files for modules should be inside a subdir "lang" in the module. So mods/module_name/lang/english.php. It the english.php is at the same level as info.txt, then it's not in the right spot.

Hi, thanks for this mod, but I have a problem.
I've made all the changes as detailed in the readme. txt, and users can now upload images within the given constraints (size, type), but the avatar screen does not display any files for selection, with the message:
If you have uploaded a file and you do not see it listed here, the file is probably too large, or of the wrong type. The maximum dimensions are width x height: (100 x 100).
Valid file types are gif, jpg, png, bmp.
No avatar
Interestingly, when I click on the link to the images I've uploaded, I don't see the images, but I see:
in the case of a JPG: ÿØÿà
in the case of a GIF: GIF89aA
Both JPGs and GIFs are allowed filetypes for upload.
Also, when I uncheck this:
Block display of Avatars (you will not see avatars on any post):
and then save changes, it immediately reverts to being checked.
Any suggestions?
