this is possible. when were they added and how do i check?

would it be possible to calculate them somehow? maybe select the min post_id of each distinct forum_id ?

see the first message in this thread again, it tells what to check for.

would it be possible to calculate them somehow? maybe select the min(msg_id)-1 of each distinct forum_id ?

would that do it? what is it supposed to look like in the database?

guess why I computed them while converting a forum?
you can try with "lowest message-id in the forum - 1" but no promises. if you deleted the first messages in a forum you need to go back further.

Hi Adam!

You wrote: "This module will only work if you upgraded to Phorum 5 using the script which stores the new offset values." Where is that script you are talking about? I just did a forum upgrade, using the latest script and instructions, and I don't have the conversion_offsets field in the phorum_settings table.

Many people have been asking for a way to reconstruct the offsets. Did someone ever come up with a solution?

Cheers!

Hi Adam!

You can disregard my last message. I just found the conversion_offsets in the database. I got confused by the instructions because you are talking about a field in the phorum_settings table. I realized that you are not talking about a table field, but about a phorum setting stored in the phorum_settings table. For other people who are reading this. The setting called 'conversion_offsets' can be found in the 'name' field of the phorum_settings table.

Best regards,

JF
