Thanks Oliver. I added it to the new distribution, version 1.0.3.
In this new release, a zoom icon is placed in the top-right corner of scaled down images. This is done to notify visitors that a larger view is available.
The new distribution is attached tot he first message in this thread.

Yet another release of the In-body Attachments module.
What I really disliked about the scaling method that I used in the previous version (settings the image width and let the browser to the scaling down), was that:
1) browsers do a bad job when scaling images down, because the resulting images look too chunky.
2) images were still fully downloaded, where scaling them down at the server side could save on the bandwidth that is used.
So what I did was fully implement a GD based image scaling mechanism for the in-body attachments. Images are scaled down on the fly and cached for followup requests. The icon which notifies users that the image can be viewed at full size, is now drawn directly into the scaled down image.
The new version 1.1.0 is attached to the first message of this thread. As a demo, I put up some images on my development site. You can take a look here to see what the mod does.

That is not part of this module. This module just makes it easy to link the attachments. The attachment options are in the forum settings in the admin.

I uploaded version 1.3.0 of this mod to the start of this thread. Version 1.3.0 implements "Lightbox" as a viewer for full size images. This viewer uses javascript to display the images in the same window in a very fancy way. See the Lightbox website for more information.
For a demo of how this looks in Phorum, you can take a look at my development site (the template that you see there is the new Phorum 5.2 default template).
If you install 1.3.0, you can activate Lightbox from the module's settings screen.

You're welcome ;-) And thank you for pointing at the Lightbox script in the first place. I just uploaded 1.3.1, which contains a small javascript fix. If you want to upgrade, you only need to replace the in_body_attachments.php script.
