Hello,
This is a great module, it works fine, just out-of-the-box.
The one provided by default was not working :-(
Please find attache French version of the files. They are based on milos', but with some corrections (minors), and adaptation (less litteral translation). milos' translation was pretty good, I had not a lot of things to change ;-)
They are not encoded in UTF8 but ISO-8859-1, though.
So just pick the one which suits you best.

I installed 5.1.14 and worked with the builtin editor tools.
Of course I was missing the buttons to enter the BBcode
so I installed the Editor Tools 1.1.13.
I copied it into the mods folder, added the lang file
(by the way, where to put the help file, leave it in the
same folder?!) but nothing happens.
Even my configured Smileys from the Smiley Replacement Mod
dissappeared. Is something like a "bad value" still stored
in the DB, what went wrong?!

Did you uninstall the old mod first? I think this should be fail-safe:
1) go to admin Modules screen
2) disable the editor tools mod
3) delete directory mods/editor_tools
4) install new mods/editor_tools
5) go to admin Modules screen
6) enable the new editor tools mod
If you didn't do anything at the modules screen, but simply copied the new files over the old ones, it should also work if disabling and then re-enabling the editor tools module. If you don't do this, Phorum will use the configuration for the old module.

Good to hear ;-) And yes, at least smileys or bbcode need to be active for this to display. The edtitor tools only supply help for message authors to use those module and does not implement any of the functionality by itself.

Hi Maurice,
I know this module is part of the core distribution, but I think it could be a good idea to add it also to the List of Modules...
Regards
Oliver
Using Phorum since 7/2000: forum.langzeittest.de (actual version 5.2.23)
Modules "Made in Germany" for version 5.2: Author_as_Sender, CarCost, Close_Topic, Conceal_Message_Timestamp,
Format_Email, Index_Structure, Mailing_List, Pervasive_Forum, Spritmonitor, Terms_of_Service and German_Language_Files_Package.

I upgraded to 5.1.16a forum with the latest version of the New editor tools module. Everything works fine but in the popup window to select smileys I have a strange 12 lines of 3 rows of red square crosses (missing pictures) before the smileys appear in the popup menu/selector. While rolling over the no-pictures/cross the state barre shows "javascript:editor_tools_handle_smiley_select(smiley)", where instead of the usual smileys (:P :) ;) etc. "smiley" has values like "select" "empty" "call" "removeDuplicates" "_each" "clear" and other thinks like that.
... here I make a pause on writing, because this "removeDuplicates" must be easy to locate.... and the problem easier to expose...
Yes, after searching text "removeDuplicates" in the entire "mods" folder, it was located in "mod/in_body_attachments/lightbox/js/lightbox.js". I had installed this mod for testing some days before, but it was n't working so well. I'll make an other report about this in the appropriate forum. For now, I disabled the "lightbox option" in "in_body_attachments" settings and there is no problem. The strange smileys disappeared!
