Have you any plans putting that information somewhere?

I might do a mod which displays how many posts user in question has made.

do you read that info in somewhere, or should I do it in the mod specifically?

I believe Thomas is already working on adding that.

He means to say it is in CVS. I don't think it made the latest alpha.

no, its not in the latest alpha.
why should it show this in read.tpl? we don't give an output like ubb-style-boards.
its currently shown in the control-center (which is only partly done yet) and WILL be shown in the profile.

I always use the snapshots...

Ok, I thought so. If I wanted to make a mod that shows posts made by the user in read tpl like this:

Posted by: Panu (posts: 21) (IP Logged)

or something similar? Where do I get the information? preferrably in read-hook? Or do I have to make the query myself?

hmm, its in the users-data.
maybe we can read it in the users-signature which we are already selecting.

what do you think Brian? You were on your way to change something in that code-areas.

I will be reading in all user info now after I make my changes so, this will be available. A Mod can be done to do this. You would just need to hook into the format hook and alter the linked_author.

So I would change the actual author string instead of using completely different one? That would eliminate changes to template but the linked author is a url?

Or are we talking about the same thing...

linked_author the author's name with an anchor tag around it. You could just append to that string. and yeah, no template change needed.
