Just a few thoughts on small but useful improvements to spam fighting tools in Phorum. I saw Maurice mentioned the user flow for deleting messages in 5.3 has been streamlined so maybe some of these will be redundant:

My notable Phorum sites:
Movie Deaths Database - "review comments" system mostly powered by Phorum
Learn Chinese! - integrated forum quiz
- Prune messages in Admin : add "flag user as spammer" checkbox which can then be used as a filter in Edit Users. The idea being we can quickly bring up a list of users to delete if necessary. Or, simply add an "also delete username" checkbox to the Prune Messages dialogue - that would make deleting the spammers even easier.
- Edit Users: add "current posted messages" column to the returned user list. The reasoning here is that it can be useful to see that a user has posted 10 messages but 10 of them have been deleted (as spam). Currently you have to manually look up the user's profile and click "view posted messages" to verify all of their posts have been deleted.
- Edit Users: add "last IP address" column to the returned user list. This is so that you can easily post a spam report to stopforumspam.com which requires username, email address and IP for each report. Currently there is no single screen in Phorum which contains all three of these fields, so each spam report requires several page loads.

Well, for the first two check the module Block user which deletes the messages and blocks the user - as deleting would just allow them to reregister.
For the 3rd, I'd suggest to add that functionality - to submit to the stopforumspam.org either to the block user module when stopforumspam module is also enabled.

Thanks Thomas, I hadn't looked into that module in enough detail, I will definitely be installing it now!
StopForumSpam.com looks to be a useful tool in the ongoing war against spammers, but I'm not sure it's very effective for users that use proxies which change their IP address regularly.
I agree though, it would be very handy to have a "one click report" interface from my Phorum to their system.
