Phorum 5 inline images

Does Phorum 5 have the option (like Phorum 3) to show attachments inline?

That way attached images will be displayed instead of a link to them?

No current plans, but you never know.

Ouch.
I didn't even notice this was broken.
This used to work. Perhaps it was a module.
But I've (apparently foolishly) upgraded since then.
And now it's gabust.

I upload images to my own server, and then use BB code
to make them visible. But that, and photobucket et al,
is not what my customers want.

I'll have to look around for a better solution.
I've been putting another conversion off.
I have about 15,000 posts now.

But no photos is a show stopper for me.
Take this as customer feed back.
Not as an ill-tempered flame.

But I'm going to have to find another forum.
For what (perhaps little) it's worth, I used to use a forum I wrote myself.
That system had a way for registered users to upload to my file system,
using an open-source PHP upload library.

Then my script made an img tag inside the post.
I like images on the file system better than binary stuff embedded in
the database, because then I can make use of those images multiple times,
in other contexts. User-supplied images make a site interesting.

Without them, you got nothang.

You are replying to a 2004 post! Many modules have been written since then. Also modules that make it possible to have images inline in the posting. A combination of Embed Attachments and Embed Images allows your users to upload images as an attachment and place them inline in the post.

Sorry. Ok. I'll fix it with a module.

Some sort of an upgrade must have busted this.
I did have inline images working.
