Announcements

Hello,

When i make an ANNOUCEMENT, it appears on all my forums, can i disable this? I mean, i want to do an ANNOUCEMENT in a forum, but that this ANNOUCEMENT doesn't appear on the oder forums, just in the one, i maked the ANNOUCEMENT.

Haha! To many ANNOUCEMENTS, sorry...

use stickies then, these are on top for single forums.

I know, i always used STICKIES, but now we wanted to use a new icon for ANNOUCEMENTS. So, theres no way to do this?

no, its simply the difference between announcements and stickies: announcements are over all forums and stickies in one forum.

Ok.

If you want the stickies to have an announcement icon instead, then you can change the templates for that or even copy the announcement icon over the sticky icon. You'll lose the specific "sticky" messages, but if you use them for announcement purposes only, then there's no problem with this approach.
