My intention is to replace those fields with some info like Age, Occupation, etc.

I also noticed, that those fields have also some other special abilities, which cause strange things :-) How do I remove those?

How do I remove the 50 character restriction for ICQ, MSN etc. fields in profiles menu?

I actually managed to remove the restriction to write longer descriptions, but only the first 50 characters are saved :-(

Bonjours,

C'est un petit mod conçu pour faciliter la vie des utilisateurs de phorum v3.4.x..

Enfin en bref, ce petit mod permet d'ordonner la liste des forums comme on le souhaite (mettre Discussions avant Bug, etc..).

Je n'ai pas vraiment eu le temp de tester ce mod, donc à vous de me dire les bugs que j'essaierai de corriger dans mon temp libre :-)

Changement

+index.php (ligne 112)
+update_forums_MYSQL_.php

+db/mysql.php (ligne 259)

+admin/actions/add.php (ligne 40 à 42 + 50 à 51 )
+admin/actions/rang.php
+admin/pages/managemenu.php (ligne 64 à 65)
+admin/pages/manage.php (ligne 23)

Le fichier "update_fourms_MYSQL_.php" sert à mettre à jour la base de donnée des forums déjà installé.

Attention, ce mod n'a été conçu que pour les bdd de type MySQL :-)

Pour l'installer il suffit de le décompresser à la racine du forum (si possible sur un forum pas en production, enfin je vous aurais prévenu:-0).

Heres the modified avatar_mod.php, if you want to change the image size just change th e 85 for height and width.

If I want to post, all I get is "Fatal error: Call to undefined function: initvar() in e:\files\html\phorum-3.4.8a\post.php on line 33"

I noticed that there's also file called preview.php that needs to be patched against if you want to make sure everything is working.. Dont have the patch right now as its not as straight forward as previous one..

I did this flat view because my users were complaining when i began using folders.

I also have some private forums that i don't want people who are not allowed in to see every day so i modded it to do that too.

I added an extra bit to avatar_mod.php to resize all images to 85x85 pixels, this stops people using stupid image sizes and I think it makes the forum look cleaner as all the images are the same size.

This patch works well! Suggesting it for everyone who are missing the "realname" posters =)

But there's one slight thing that is missing, it wont patch your read.php. So when you are reading the post, you still see the account name anyway.

Is it permitted by the guys of phorum. I still let the copyright stuff intact and stuff. I just want 2 release a totaly striped version that only has the core components intact. a Phorum Lite as you will.

By releasing this , i want to make it possible for people to make adjustments and changes that doesend take ages 2 first figure out how phorum internal systems work.

There is ( i think ) , no install shit no multy-treat stuff

Ok, I wrote a few lines of code that change any "me@somewhere.com" found into a less spammable "me@s.. ". As far as I can tell it does a goed job of taking these out and responds fairly intelligent to alternate texts with an "@" in there.

A very simple mod to install: in the file include/post_functions.php find the function censor and add a few lines directly above its return statement so it will look like this:

I've set up Phorum to receive postings through e-mail. If people send in replies to other mails these will contain e-mail addresses, which then appear in the postings.

sorry, posted in the other forum by mistake yesterday! ...

is there a template around or could someone post one that would let me post news on my main page (or in an iframe) so when the user clicks a comments link theyre taken to the item as a forum thread?

i know theres a news bit in the scripts folder, but im very unsure how to implement this as above? im assuming its to assign a folder as posting by admin only or along them lines, but im more after a kind of cutephp posting thing that can disply the just the news in its oown template then just link to the thread...

anyone help / understand?
