Hello,
i've made a new german translation based on Phorum 5.2.5
Currently for iso-8859-15 and iso-8859-1 (UTF-8 follows)

You can also test the file on my testforum (see my signature)

Currently only german.php -> Deutsch (Sie)
Deutsch (Du) follows soon as possible.

I changs the next days the attachment often.
There is an datestamp in the languagefile to identificate the version.

I think there already is a language pack for 5.2. German Language Files Package 1.3 (5.1 and 5.2 ready).
It's posted in the wrong sub because it was written before 5.2 became stable. Maybe the someone should move it here or the author posts it here, too.

Hello Jens,
that's don't work since 5.2.2-Beta, about 10-15 Language-keys needed.
I have written Oliver before Christmas - he says "no time for the next days".
So i have made my own language-file without overhead of module. No Overhead with deprecated words for old versions.
German (Du) i made currently is a really full-version and works alone without German (Sie).

Hi Berti, thanks for the work you put in! Here are some very minor corrections to the "Sie" language file (maybe the "Du" is also affected, I didn't check):

"AllowSeeActivity" => "Andere Benutzer sollen sehen, dass ich online bin",
(change ; to , before "dass")

"ClickHereToLogin" => "Hier klicken, um sich einzuloggen",
(add , before "um")

"FollowExplanationMail" => "Sie können zusätzlich wählen, dass bei Antworten eine Benachrichtigung per Email erfolgt.",
(add , before "dass")

"NoGroupsJoin" => "Es gibt keine Gruppen, denen Sie beitreten könnten.",
(delete "zu")

"PleaseLoginRead" => "Nur registrierte Benutzer dürfen dieses Forum lesen.",
(change "leses" to "lesen")

I changed a couple of other expressions (e.g., "Forenliste" to "Forenübersicht"), but these are matters of taste I guess. Best,

Activate UTF-8 and deactivate iso8859-*

Ich habe ein paar Wochen lang das Forum (5.2.6) mit englischer Sprache benutzt. Jetzt tritt nach der Installation des Sprach-Packs ein ähnliches Problem auf: Die durch den Sprach-Pack übersetzten Sachen wie "Beiträge" werden korrekt dargestellt, allerdings werden Umlaute im Nachrichtentext und in der Überschrift nun verfremdet. Aus "Grüße" ist nun "GrÌße" geworden, wenn ich die Nachricht ändere erscheint "Gr??e". Das Umstellen des Zeichensatzes hat nichts gebracht.

Irgendwelche Ideen?

For some weeks I used the phorum (5.2.6) with english language activated. After installing this german language-pack a similar problem occurs: the forum itself is on german without problems, but the messages I've wirtten before the switch to germen now are displayed incorrectly. The word "Grüße" is now "GrÌße" and when I edit the message "Gr??e" appears after saving it. Changing the charset didn't help.

Any ideas?

Did you read and try out the post that was right before yours?
You had UTF-8 as the charset before, but now you are using ISO-8859-1.
