SPAM!

Hi I am VERY new to Phorum. My site went live on Friday 13th ( Ominious or what!) I have been inundated with Spam...340 messages and counting. How do I fix this? I have tried support docs but its says to sort in settings BUT I can't see where or how. Can some one help me in PLAIN language so I can resolve asap. There are so many, someone has suggested its BOT????

Make sure you have spamhurdles module activated and configured to use reCAPTCHA during registration.
Make sure to require user email confirmation before they can post anything.

That will eliminate a lot of spam.
If they are still getting through, try the beta stopforumspam module from the add-ons forum.
