Save a message as draft

Hello,

What would you think of the ability to save a message as draft, to be able to finish it later?
Either a new topic or an answer to an existing discussion.

Sometime, when answering to a message, after writing part of the message I am called to do something else, or I realize I miss some information. So I come back later to finish it.

How such a functionality could be developed? Could it be a module, or should it be a core dev?
