Moved site to new host

I up loaded the forum folder to our new host and when I try to open the forum i get an error message; Fatal error: Call to undefined function: pg_connect() in /usr/home/dnolan/public_html/forum/db/postgresql.php on line 30
What does this mean?

that means the php-built of your new host doesn't support postgresql.
are you sure you want to use postgresql?

What would I use in place of postgresql?

maybe mysql if your old database was mysql too. otherwise you won't have the old data available.
